About Us

The Nelen Family of Costa Kabrita

Thanks for visiting our website! We are Ad and Marie-Louise Nelen, proud owners of Costa Kabrita – a charming SVR campsite and dairy goat farm in Huijbergen, North Brabant. Together with our five children – Bart, Stefan, Melissa, Jasper, and Larissa – we’ve created a place over the years where peace, nature, animals, and genuine hospitality come together.

We both work full-time on our farm and love sharing our passion for outdoor living, our goats, and the personal connection with our guests.

Where does the name Costa Kabrita come from?

The name Costa Kabrita has a special story. In 1997, a camping guest wrote in our guestbook: “We had a great time camping at Costa Kabrita (goat coast)”.

The name immediately appealed to us. “Costa” means “coast” in Papiamentu – it brings to mind a sunny, cheerful feeling. And “Kabrita” means “goat”, which of course perfectly fits our dairy goat farm. Since then, Costa Kabrita has been the name of our business, and we’re still proud of it today!

About Our Business
Our campsite is surrounded by greenery, nestled among the forests of West Brabant. Here, you can enjoy small-scale camping in total peace and quiet, while experiencing authentic farm life right on the property. Children can play, pet the animals, and explore freely, while parents relax and take in the views, the space, and the laid-back atmosphere. We believe it’s important to give our guests a glimpse into life on the farm. That’s why we’re always happy to tell you more about our dairy goats, our daily work, and of course, the history of this special place.
A Touch of France

Fun fact: our son Stefan has since moved to France with his family, where he started his own small campsite: Côte de Chèvre – literally translated: Goat Coast. The name is a playful nod to Costa Kabrita! He offers 6 camping pitches and 2 guest rooms. Feel free to take a look at his website:
